New films showcase diverse voices

Gay cinema has come a long way since its early days of being hidden and stigmatised. In the past, films with LGBTQ+ themes were often relegated to underground theatres or only shown at film festivals.

Now, gay cinema has well and truly come out of the closet and into the mainstream. In recent years, we have seen a rise in the number of films with LGBTQ+ themes, many of which have received critical acclaim and widespread recognition.

Filmmakers are tackling subjects and stories that were once taboo or considered too controversial. An increasing number of openly LGBTQ+ filmmakers and actors are also now bringing their own experiences and perspectives to their work. These individuals are helping to shift the cultural narrative and to provide a more nuanced and diverse representation of the LGBTQ+ community in film. This has led to the creation of movies that are not only entertaining but also meaningful and impactful, resonating with audiences worldwide.

Let’s have a look at some of the latest LGBTQ+ releases!
