Bush Walks Sydney Region

MEET UP INSTRUCTIONS:

MEET at Gordon Station at 10 am.
Exit onto the Pacific Highway side entrance and meet there. If travelling by car there is a car park adjacent to the station and then join the others near station entrance.

WALK:
At the end of the walk, car travellers can catch the train from Chatswood back to Gordon.


DETAIL:

We walk from the station a short distance to cross the Pacific Highway, then through the streets of Gordon about 500m, and join the Blackbutt Creek Trail which follows the Blackbutt Creek down to join the Lane Cove River.   At the Lane Cove River we follow part of the Great North Track to The Entrance of the Lane Cove National Park at Delhi Road.

At the Dehi Road, we then catch a bus back to Chatswood Station, about 10 min ride.  Bus frequency is about every 15 mins.

There will be stops for coffee and lunch along the way.

DIFFICULTY Medium:

Total distance is about 7km. It is a medium grade, mostly down hill or along the flat.    On some of the trails you have to climb over some large rocks.

What to bring:

Water, food, sturdy footwear, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses.
